Technical documentation for establishing a secure connection to the DarkMatter Market infrastructure.

Prerequisites

Accessing hidden services requires specific software configurations to ensure end-to-end encryption and anonymity. The DarkMatter Market Link infrastructure is hosted on the Tor network. Standard browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari) cannot resolve .onion addresses.

NOTE: Always download software from official sources. Verify signatures where possible.

STEP 01: ENVIRONMENT SETUP

1. Install Tor Browser

Download the Tor Browser Bundle from the Tor Project website. This browser routes your traffic through multiple volunteer relays, masking your IP address.

2. Configure Security

Once installed, navigate to the Shield Icon (Security Level). Set the security slider to Safer or Safest. This disables non-essential scripts that could compromise anonymity.

STEP 02: MIRROR VERIFICATION

DarkMatter utilizes rotating mirrors to mitigate DDoS attacks. Always use a verified link signed by the market's PGP key. Unverified links may lead to credential harvesting.

STEP 03: IDENTITY & MNEMONIC

During registration, the system generates a unique Mnemonic Recovery Phrase. This is the cryptographic seed for your account.

Create a unique username not used on other services.

Set a strong alphanumeric password ( > 16 chars).

Set a 6-digit PIN for withdrawals.

CRITICAL WARNING

You MUST save your Mnemonic Phrase immediately. It is shown only once. If you lose your password or PIN, the Mnemonic is the ONLY way to recover your account. Admins cannot reset passwords.

STEP 04: PGP ENCRYPTION

Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) is essential for secure communication. DarkMatter allows you to upload your Public Key to your profile.

Enable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

Once your key is added, enable 2FA in settings. The system will present an encrypted message that only you can decrypt to log in. This prevents account takeover even if your password is compromised.

Encrypt Sensitive Data

Never send addresses or sensitive info in plain text. Always encrypt messages using the recipient's public key before sending.

STEP 05: FUNDING & TRANSACTIONS

DarkMatter operates using cryptocurrency wallet protocols. The platform supports Bitcoin (BTC) and Monero (XMR).

Protocol Recommendation: MONERO (XMR)

Monero utilizes ring signatures and stealth addresses to obfuscate the sender, receiver, and amount. It is highly recommended for privacy preservation over Bitcoin's transparent ledger.

  • Navigate to Wallet tab.
  • Generate a new deposit address.
  • Send funds and wait for network confirmations (usually 2-10 confirmations required).
  • Verify balance update before initiating any orders.

STEP 06: ORDER EXECUTION

The market utilizes an Escrow system to protect users. Funds are held by the market until the order is finalized.

WARNING: Never "Finalize Early" (FE) unless you have established absolute trust with the counterparty. Finalizing releases funds from Escrow immediately, removing your protection.
